The first motor nacelles integrated thrust reversers taken through the 727 outboard nacelles. They proved to get rather ineffective and tended to lift the aircraft up from the runway when deployed. This reduced the downforce on the principle wheels therefore reducing the efficiency of the wheel brakes. In 1968, an advancement on the thrust reversal
